About
The Horse Museum in the village of Niūronys is the only museum in Lithuania dedicated to the horse and its role in rural life. Its exhibitions include carts, sleighs, harnesses, rural crafts and traditional household items.
Children especially love it: you can see live horses and, in season, go for a ride. The family home of the writer Jonas Biliūnas is nearby.
Tip: Ask about educational programmes – they need to be booked in advance.
