About

Šeimyniškėliai Hillfort is one of the most important archaeological sites in the Anykščiai region. Some historians believe that Voruta Castle from the time of King Mindaugas stood here.

Part of the wooden castle fortifications has been reconstructed on the hillfort, making it easy to imagine what a 13th-century defensive castle might have looked like.

Tip: Wear comfortable shoes – the way up the hillfort is a slope.
